The Webby Awards: the award-winning mobile campaigns with case studies and videos

The Webby Awards has been taking mobile Web seriously since 2007, with nine mobile categories. We've added video case studies for the winning campaigns.

Awards: The Webby Awards
Founded: 1996, mobile Web category started in 2007
Deadline for entries: December each year
Entry fee: starts at US $295
Winners announced: May each year
Prize: Webby Award
Categories (in 2010): Best Use of Location Technology; Mobile Video; Mobile Entertainment; Experimental and Innovation; Integrated Mobile Experience; Mobile Applications; Mobile Marketplace and Services; Mobile News; Mobile Social Networking
Advantages: while the Webby heritage is Web, mobile has become a serious part of the Awards. The nicest touch is the People's Voice where the general public (and/or friends of the entrants) can vote for their choice.
Disadvantages: there are no summaries of the winning mobile campaigns or videos (these were added by mobiThinking), but there are links to websites, sometimes to case studies and videos, for each of the winners and runners up, which is useful.
2010 Winners include (brand/agency): Nokia/R/GA; MLB; Target; Volkswagen/AKQA; WWF/BBH; New York Times; Standard Chartered Bank; Barnes & Noble; BBC News; Foursquare; Evernote.
