Great article providing an overview of the current state of mobile marketing in the US, along with references for more information. As a marketer, I expect mobile marketing in the US to come up to speed with the improving user experience and once businesses become aware of how effective mobile can be in driving business. Just as with the web, companies will recognize they need to pursue. Those that do not adapt quickly will miss key opportunity to add a revenue producing channel to their media mix. Businesses realize they must optimize their websites and continually evolve their online advertising strategies so SEO experts are in high demand. I expect Mobile will follow a similar adoption path. Take the first step and tweak as you go.
